Tortured by Gretchen, T-Bag is forced to be of service to her. They set a trap for Michael, so they can manipulate him into helping them decipher the bird book. Michael discovers that the book is a blueprint and leads T-Bag to an office at Gate, where they find a secret chamber under the office. They climb down to enter it, where Mahone sneaks up on T-Bag and knocks him down. Linc, Sara, Sucre and Roland leave for Vegas to retrieve the fifth card of scylla. Though the card is successfully copied and downloaded, Roland has the device confiscated when he is cheating at a slot machine.

Oliver is poisoned and only has 12 hours to live without the antidote. While senseless, he remembers his past: Stranded on a island, he struggled to live and learned archery before being stabbed by a flower possessing a fatal poison. He was saved by Tess. Clark gets the antidote from Luthorcorp after Chloe uses her ability to research chemistry.

On Stewie's advice, Brian restrains himself from having sex with his new girlfriend Carolyn in an attempt to have a healthy relationship. When he is ready to hit on her, Brian bumps into Carolyn making love with Cleveland in a car. Stewie suggests that Brian convince Loretta to reconcile with Cleveland, so Carolyn would be available again. But Peter objects to the idea, asking Quagmire to seduce Loretta. Cleveland finally decides to reject his ex-wife's proposition, but then he finds Carolyn cheating on him with Quagmire in the same car.

With Micah's help, Tracy finds out that both she and Niki are created by Dr. Zimmerman. The escapees from Level 5 rob a bank, waiting for Bennet to arrive, so they can get revenge on him for ruining their lives. In the company, Sylar is recruited to assist Bennet in capturing the villains. Matt Parkman is still in the desert, and he learns his future after putting on the native's walkman.
